Flanders Sports Arena

The Flanders Sports Arena is the outstanding location and accommodation for organising major sports events. In winter, the emphasis is on indoor athletics. In other seasons, the arena is a multi-purpose hall, aimed at attracting sports events of national, European and world level.

The Flanders Sports Arena is part of the Bloso centre at the Blaarmeersen in Ghent. The arena was built jointly by the Government of Flanders, Bloso (the Flemish Sports Office), the Province of East Flanders, the City of Ghent, and Flanders Expo Inc. The sports arena is run by Bloso. The approach is anticipatory. To achieve optimum results, a number of Bloso staff is always present during activities, serving as direct contacts before, during and after the event.

The vicinity of the brand new sports hotel (99 beds), the top gymnastics hall, the recreational sports hall, and the facilities of the municipal sports and recreational centre Blaarmeersen is a bonus to the Flanders Sports Arena.
